Financial education

We have focused on financial education this week in primary 5. We started the week by giving the children the challenge of designing a community garden. They were given a budget which they needed to stick to and a simple brief. They then presented their finished designs to the rest of the class. 

Tennis star

A massive congratulations to Sam in p5a who won what sounds like an exhausting tennis competition at the weekend! Great job Sam! 

Buddy Gardens

Mrs Gibb and p2a have been so grateful for the help from p5a when creating their gardens as part of the street project. Have a look at the amazing finished results!! Thanks again to p5a for all being such wonderful buddies! 

Map work

P5a spent Friday morning investingating a variety of old maps of Edinhurgh. They had to piece together the parts to begin with and then put them in order from the 1500s to 2015. They used clues from the map to help them and all worked well in their teams. 

P5a are brilliant buddies!

We have started off the year with lots of lovely buddy meet ups. The p5s have been helping their buddies design gardens for their street project. We have been teaching them some counting in Spanish and also designing some amazing board games to help the p2s with their maths.
