A fantastic start to our Old Edinburgh Project!

P5a had a fantastic trip around Edinburgh with Mr Howie today. We learned lots about what it would have been like to live in Edinburgh all those years ago and heard some pretty gruesome stories about many of the famous and infamous characters that once lived in the city! Have a look at the photos and see if you can remember some of the stories we heard about today.

Poster presentations

After another busy week the children in p5a enjoyed presenting their learning conference posters to the class. We really developed our group work skills this week and everyone felt very proud of the work their team had done. Keep up the fab work guys!

Lots of team work!

Today we spend lots of time working on our listening and talking skills. We spent some time this morning taking part in a Learning Conference, we worked together to discuss what makes for the best learning environment, everyone was great at sharing their ideas. This afternoon we got to know someone in our class we didn't know so well by interviewing them.  Mr Howie led a discussion about what makes a good interview and we worked with a partner to create unique questions. We are really looking forward to hearing about people's answers tomorrow! Here are some photos of our excellent listening and talking skills in action!
